Softball Game Preview: Liberty Mountaineers vs. Braxton County Eagles

Liberty is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Braxton County a 22-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Liberty Mountaineers will host the Braxton County Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Liberty came up short against Lewis County on Monday, falling 13-5.

Meanwhile, Braxton County lost 13-5 to Calhoun on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly eight runs.

Braxton County's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Liberty was able to grind out a solid win over Braxton County when the teams last played back in April of 2015, winning 4-1. Will the Mountaineers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
