Basketball Recap: Raceland Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Raceland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-61 W against the Bath County Wildcats. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Raceland pushed their record up to 20-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Bath County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raceland will face off against Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bath County, they and East Jessamine will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
