 It was a good run, but  Commack unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell victim to a  tough 10-4 defeat at the hands of the St. Anthony's Friars. Commack was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Anthony's apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2022.
 For St. Anthony's part,  Joe Pritchard looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Phil Mazzola was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Adrian Tavarez, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 Commack's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 5-1. As for St. Anthony's, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
 Commack will head out on the road to  take on  Smithtown East at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for St. Anthony's, they will  square off against Holy Trinity at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. St. Anthony's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Holy Trinity's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
