University Lab has gone a perfect 6-0 against Plaquemine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cubs will head out on the road to face off against the Green Devils at 4:30 p.m. University Lab is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.3 runs per game this season.

University Lab is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Holden just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 9-6 to the Rockets.

Morgan Singleton and Gabby Fontenot did some serious damage despite the final result: Singleton went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Fontenot went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Harper Langlois was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Plaquemine never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Liberty Magnet on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 16-1 win. Considering the Green Devils have won eight matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

University Lab's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Plaquemine, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Everything went University Lab's way against Plaquemine in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as University Lab made off with a 13-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cubs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
