While Laney's victory against West Brunswick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buccaneers skirted past the Trojans 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Buccaneers as they're now sitting on six straight.

Laney saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carston Wedemeyer, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Mason Jones also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Laney's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Brunswick, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Laney will head out to face off against South Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for West Brunswick, they will square off against Ashley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Screaming Eagle have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
