If Grant wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Franklin Parish, they should've done a better job of containing  Treylon Martin. The Patriots claimed a resounding  77-35 victory over the Cougars thanks in part to  Martin, who rushed for 214 yards and three  touchdowns on only eight carries, and also caught one  TD. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 105.4  rushing yards per game.
Another player making a difference was  Kaaron Jones, who picked up 92 receiving yards and one  score. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 55 yards.
 Special teams  played a big role in the game for Franklin Parish, adding 19 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Jones, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Franklin Parish's defensive line and their five sacks.  Chris Addison refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5  sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Grant's side was  Addison, who picked up  1.5  sacks and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Franklin Parish is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.5 points. As for Grant,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Franklin Parish will  face off against  rival Wossman  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Grant is set to  take on  their familiar foe Tioga  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
