Basketball Recap: Poudre's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Poudre can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over the Fort Collins Lambkins. The Impalas have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lambkins, too.

Poudre had a senior duo take command as Kavi Voglund went 8 for 16 on her way to 19 points along with seven boards and six assists and Jaqueline Forrest went 6 of 12 en route to 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Voglund has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Foster, who posted ten points.

Despite the loss, Fort Collins still got an impressive performance from Annika Vandalen, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points. Taylor Alcaraz was another key player, putting up seven points.

Poudre's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Fort Collins, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-11.

Poudre has already played their next match, a 51-20 victory against Greeley West on the 31st. As for Fort Collins, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-42 defeat against Rocky Mountain on the 31st.
