Baseball Recap: North Vermillion Takes a Loss

North Vermillion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-6 to the Riverton Parke Panthers. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Falcons' highest-scoring contest to date.

North Vermillion saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmit Klugow, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Logan Lewis was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

North Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Riverton Parke, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Vermillion is set to challenge their familiar foe South Vermillion at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Riverton Parke will square off against rival Parke Heritage at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
