Football Recap: Garey Takes a Loss

If Garey was feeling good fresh off their 41-0 takedown of Duarte last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings had to suffer through a 60-0 loss at the hands of the Ganesha Giants. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

It was another big night for Albert Kelsey, who picked up 147 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 70 yards and a pair of TDs for Ganesha. That's the most receiving touchdowns Kelsey has posted since back in October of 2024. Shamon Farley was another key player, rushing for 46 yards and two scores.

Garey's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Ganesha, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Garey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-12 defeat against La Puente on the 17th. As for Ganesha, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 67-0 win against Workman on the 17th.
