Basketball Recap: Portage Northern Comes Up Short

Portage Northern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Norrix Knights, falling 57-28. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly 29 points.

Portage Northern's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Norrix, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portage Northern will venture away from home to square off against Mattawan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Portage Northern is facing Mattawan at the right time seeing as Mattawan is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Norrix, they are taking a road trip to take on Gull Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
