Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Falcons vs. South Beloit Sobos

The Faith Christian Falcons will square off against the South Beloit Sobos at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Faith Christian faced off against Quad Cities Christian on Friday. Faith Christian strolled past Quad Cities Christian with points to spare, taking the game 77-61.

Isaiah Schuler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 16 for 28 en route to 37 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Those 37 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Bivins, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.

Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, South Beloit was able to grind out a solid win over Scales Mound on Monday, taking the game 71-64.

Faith Christian pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for South Beloit, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
