Basketball Game Preview: Oak Hills Highlanders vs. Lakota West Firebirds

The Oak Hills Highlanders will venture away from home to square off against the Lakota West Firebirds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Oak Hills has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Lakota West will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Friday, Oak Hills came up short against Middletown and fell 49-42.

Meanwhile, Lakota West was able to grind out a solid victory over Lakota East on Friday, taking the game 54-41.

Lakota West's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Oak Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Oak Hills couldn't quite finish off Lakota West when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 49-47. Can Oak Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
