Basketball Game Preview: Serra Catholic Eagles vs. Neighborhood Academy

The Serra Catholic Eagles will challenge Neighborhood Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Serra Catholic comes in on five and Neighborhood Academy on 14.

Serra Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 57-45 win over Nazareth Prep.

Owen Dumbroski was his usual excellent self, on his way to 26 points and seven rebounds. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 25 points. Another player making a difference was Mark Johnson, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Neighborhood Academy took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 69-35 victory over Aquinas Academy. Neighborhood Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Neighborhood Academy's win bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Serra Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.

Serra Catholic suffered a grim 84-58 defeat to Neighborhood Academy when the teams last played on February 4th. Can Serra Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
