Football Recap: Barlow Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Barlow lost against Nelson back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bruins had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of Nelson. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Nelson are ranked 13th).

Daniel Nelson threw for 62 yards and one TD.

This is the second loss in a row for Barlow and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Nelson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Barlow will square off against Clackamas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Nelson, they will head out to take on Sandy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nelson will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
