Volleyball Recap: Oxnard Beats Del Sol for Their Fourth Straight Win

Oxnard waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Del Sol Jaguars by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Tuesday.

Oxnard was led to victory by Mila Hernandez and Jessica Camarillo. Hernandez had 13 assists and five aces, while Camarillo had four digs and three aces. Those 13 assists gave Hernandez a new career-high. Elsie Pelayo also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Oxnard was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive matches.

Oxnard's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Del Sol, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Oxnard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Foothill Tech on the 30th. As for Del Sol, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Channel Islands at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
