            The Parkersburg Big Reds will square off against the Copley Indians at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Parkersburg put up the most points they have all season  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Capital as they made off with  a  15-2 victory. The  win continues a trend for the Big Reds in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

 Jesse Showalter was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in five of his six plate appearances. Those  three  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Parker Woods, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-5.
 Parkersburg  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .521. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile, Copley beat Parkersburg South 17-12  on Wednesday. Considering the Indians' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Parkersburg's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Copley, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-2.
