Softball Game Preview: Ridge View Blazers vs. Westwood Redhawks

Ridge View is 2-8 against Westwood since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ridge View Blazers will be playing at home against the Westwood Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. Westwood took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridge View, who comes in off a win.

Ridge View's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Fairfield Central 12-0. The Blazers haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Brooklyn Corugo was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Helena Wright, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to White Knoll.

Westwood saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Blevines, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run was Blevines' first of the season.

Ridge View's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Westwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
