Spring Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clay Robertson, who went 10-for-13 en route to 36 points and seven rebounds. The match was Robertson's 13th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Caldwell, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, George Washington is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Blazer. George Washington fell 60-52 to Blazer. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Tomcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Spring Valley pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points over those games. As for George Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 14-2.
