Volleyball Recap: Spruce Creek Takes a Loss

Spruce Creek lost against Seminole on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks fell just short of the Seminoles by a score of 2-1. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Seminoles 25-0 in the first set.

Spruce Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 0-25, 25-0, 15-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seminole to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sebastian Bryant, who had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Bryant a new career-high. Orion Gaines was another key player, getting 13 digs.

Spruce Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Seminole, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Spruce Creek has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Nease on the 29th. As for Seminole, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Lake Howell on the 28th.
