Softball Recap: Minerva Comes Up Short

Minerva fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against River View on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the Black Bears. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Rachel Weaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Essick, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Minerva's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for River View, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15.

As of now, neither Minerva nor the Black Bears have any future games scheduled.
