Recap: Pearl River Rebels vs. Archbishop Hannan Hawks
The Pearl River Rebels's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Archbishop Hannan 58-31 at home. Pearl River might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by 27 points or more this season.
Leading Pearl River to victory were Tashod Badon and Ziderius Brown. Badon rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while Brown rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Badon was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Jenkins, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Pearl River pushed their record up to 6-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Archbishop Hannan, Loranger, and Independence. As for Archbishop Hannan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Pearl River will head out on the road to face off against Abbeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Abbeville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Archbishop Hannan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
