Football Game Preview: Holy Cross Crusaders vs. Wolcott Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Holy Cross Crusaders and the Wolcott Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Holy Cross didn't have too much trouble with Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic as they won 36-20.

Meanwhile, Wolcott came into Saturday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 24-14 win over St. Paul Catholic last Saturday.

Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Wolcott, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Holy Cross against Wolcott in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 34-0 victory. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
