Lassen has gone 9-1 against Central Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lassen came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-5 to Shasta.

Lassen got a good showing from Trevor Schaap, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Schaap has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Peyton Garate and Blake Tow did some serious damage despite the final result: Garate went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Tow got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Meanwhile, Central Valley fell victim to University Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Lassen, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9.

Lassen couldn't quite finish off Central Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Grizzlies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
