Softball Recap: Haverford Wins Going Away Against Strath Haven

Haverford got themselves on the board against Strath Haven on Wednesday, but Strath Haven never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 9-0 win. Considering the Fords have won seven contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Haverford got a massive performance out of Kelly Shindler, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Lucy Ardizzi was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Haverford and bumps their season record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Strath Haven, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Haverford is set to square off against their familiar foe Marple Newtown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Fords 3, the Fightin' Tigers 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Strath Haven will challenge rival Ridley at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
