Softball Game Preview: Hicksville Aces vs. Evergreen Vikings

The Hicksville Aces will face off against the Evergreen Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hicksville will be strutting in after a win while Evergreen will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Hicksville turned things around against Fairview on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Apaches.

Kennedy Adams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Adams was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Mckenna Rice was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Mckenna Baird, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Bryan, falling 10-0.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hicksville, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
