After a string of seven wins, Cypress Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Cooper Dragons. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cypress Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

CONNIE QUAGLIA paced Cypress Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. QUAGLIA got some help from LILAH JOHNSON and her 16 assists. BRYNN SITTA and CONLEY MARTIN kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Cypress Christian's loss dropped their record down to 18-13-1. As for Cooper, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-5.

Cypress Christian and Cooper should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 428th) will meet Frassati Catholic (ranked 869th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cooper will face off against The Awty International at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (212 vs. 975).
