Basketball Recap: Carlson Comes Up Short

Carlson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Marauders came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 439th).

Carlson's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Edsel Ford, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.

Carlson will face off against Lincoln Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edsel Ford has already played their next game (against Inter-City Baptist), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
