Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montezuma-Cortez). They never let the Bayfield Wolverines get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Mia Glazner as she scored three goals for her team.

Montezuma-Cortez's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Bayfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Montezuma-Cortez didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Rifle on the 12th. As for Bayfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Crested Butte on the 11th.
