On Friday WF West's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sehome Mariners. The two-run effort marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

WF West's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Sehome, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

WF West will be playing in front of their home fans against Bainbridge at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bearcats 2.4, the Spartans 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Sehome, they are taking a road trip to take on Oak Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
