It was a good run, but Founders Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 66-54 defeat to the Calvary Baptist Eagles. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 56-45.

Tyler Wilson was his usual excellent self, going 12 for 19 on his way to 32 points and six rebounds for Calvary Baptist. The contest was Wilson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Heine, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Founders Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Calvary Baptist, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Founders Christian will venture away from home to face off against The Covenant Preparatory School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Founders Christian is facing The Covenant Preparatory School at the right time seeing as The Covenant Preparatory School is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Calvary Baptist, they will head out to square off against Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
