Basketball Game Preview: Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls vs. Trinity Tigers

Anderson-Shiro has won four straight games at home, while Trinity has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls will host the Trinity Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Anderson-Shiro will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Coldspring-Oakhurst, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Anderson-Shiro walked away with a 57-48 win over Coldspring-Oakhurst on Friday.

Meanwhile, Trinity unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Onalaska 94-65. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since January 19, 2024.

Trinity's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5. As for Anderson-Shiro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Anderson-Shiro was able to grind out a solid victory over Trinity in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 47-36. Will Anderson-Shiro repeat their success, or does Trinity have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
