Volleyball Recap: Lesterville Bearcats vs. Miller Cardinals
It was a good run, but Lesterville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Miller Cardinals.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-19.
Sidney Hawkins paced Lesterville's offense, picking up seven kills. Hawkins got some help from
Faith Stulce and her 14 assists. Hawkins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Miller can attribute much of their success to Camden Stockton, who had three digs and 26 assists. Stockton has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.
Lesterville's loss dropped their record down to 20-8-1. As for Miller, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 25-6-2.
Lesterville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Bismarck on the 21st. Miller has also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Ash Grove on the 19th.
