Volleyball Recap: Benet Academy's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Benet Academy waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bartlett Hawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Redwings also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Aris Maurukas paced Benet Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Maurukas were helped by Reed Hefley and Luke Mitra, who contributed six assists each. Mitra was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Benet Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bartlett, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Benet Academy will take on Waubonsie Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bartlett, they will welcome Streamwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
