Volleyball Recap: Trinity Prep's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Trinity Prep was the 3-2 winner over Cornerstone Charter Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Saints fell 3-1 to the Ducks on Tuesday. The game marked the Saints' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Trinity Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 27-25, 25-21, 29-27.

Cornerstone Charter Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Dinsmore, who had 13 digs and three assists. Dinsmore is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least ten every time he's taken the court this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity Prep fell to 4-1. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Trinity Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Ocoee on the 26th. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Innovation Montessori on the 27th.
