Baseball Game Preview: Chadwick Dolphins vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves

For the second straight game, Chadwick will face off against Flintridge Prep. The Dolphins are taking a road trip to take on the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Chadwick fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Flintridge Prep on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The Dolphins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Flintridge Prep's part, Will Grable was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Grable has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Flintridge Prep is undefeated when Grable posts three or more hits, but 6-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, Flintridge Prep let Lucas Yin and Christopher Chino run wild. Yin went 1-for-6 with one home run and three RBI, while Chino went 3-for-5 with two runs. Those three RBI gave Yin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Rolfe, who went 2-for-6 with one stolen base and one run.

The win snapped Flintridge Prep's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-11 record. As for Chadwick, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
