Baseball Recap: Augusta E Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Augusta E won against Coastal HomeSchool on Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Eagles beat the Providence Athletic Club Panthers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-5. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Graham Williams was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Poteet, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Augusta E's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Providence Athletic Club, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Coming up, Augusta E is taking a road trip to square off against Augusta Prep Day at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Providence Athletic Club does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
