Softball Recap: Apollo Takes a Loss

Apollo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 24-1 to the West Point Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-11 last Tuesday.

Apollo's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for West Point, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Apollo will be playing in front of their home fans against Boulder Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Apollo's pitchers better be ready for this one: Boulder Creek has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for West Point, they will face off against Shadow Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
