Preview: Cartersville Hurricanes vs. Harrison Hoyas
The Cartersville Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Harrison Hoyas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cartersville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Cartersville really took it to East Paulding for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-29 win at home. The victory was just what Cartersville needed coming off of a 74-27 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cartersville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaytlin Arnold, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Ansley Griffin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Harrison's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 63-38 defeat at the hands of Buford. Harrison has struggled against Buford recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The losses dropped Cartersville to 2-1 and East Paulding to 0-3.
Cartersville opened the new year with a less-than-successful 62-52 loss to Harrison. Can Cartersville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
