Basketball Game Preview: Dothan Wolves vs. Paul W. Bryant Stampede

The Dothan Wolves and the Paul W. Bryant Stampede will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dothan has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Paul W. Bryant will come in with six straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Dothan was beaten by Park Crossing 64-26. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Paul W. Bryant hadn't done well against Tuscaloosa County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Paul W. Bryant breezed by Tuscaloosa County to the tune of 65-36.

Paul W. Bryant is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Dothan, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Dothan took their victory against Paul W. Bryant when the teams last played back in December of 2014 by a conclusive 68-44. Will Dothan repeat their success, or does Paul W. Bryant have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
