Volleyball Recap: Roxana Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Roxana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Columbia Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Roxana may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 14 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-14.

Tatum Shaw paced Roxana's offense, picking up two kills. Shaw got some help from Daisy Daugherty and her five assists.

Roxana's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Columbia, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Roxana is set to challenge their familiar foe East Alton-Wood River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Columbia will take on rival Breese Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
