Volleyball Recap: Kenzie Ogden and Jacalyn Chester Secure Win for Pocahontas

Pocahontas won the last time they faced Trumann and things went their way on Thursday too. The Redskins put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

Pocahontas walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 25-21.

Leading Pocahontas to victory were Jacalyn Chester and Kenzie Ogden. Chester had 12 digs, six aces, five kills, and three blocks, while Ogden had ten digs and three aces. Those six aces gave Chester a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Lynch, who had 13 kills and two blocks.

Pocahontas' win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Trumann, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pocahontas is set to square off against their familiar foe Brookland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Trumann will challenge rival Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
