Baseball Recap: Goshen Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Goshen's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elba Tigers on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Goshen saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler McLendon, who went 2-for-3 with one double. The dominant performance also gave McLendon a new career-high in hits (two).

Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
