Basketball Recap: Braxton County's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Braxton County needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Rylan Criner. The Braxton County Eagles took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 46-17 victory over the Clay County Panthers thanks in part to Criner, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

The team also got some help courtesy of Laura Cain, who posted four points and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Braxton County's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Clay County, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Braxton County has already played their next game (against Ritchie County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clay County will face off against Roane County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
