Lightridge put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets a 1-0 shutout. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Bolts have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Not much got past Peyton Robinson, who gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Osbourn Park off the board. Robinson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lightridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmi Harris, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Harris' first of the season.

Lightridge's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Osbourn Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Lightridge will host Briar Woods at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Osbourn Park, they will venture away from home to take on Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
