Westosha Central won the last time they faced Elkhorn and things went their way on Friday too. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Elks. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Evan Leafblad, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Everett Lucero also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Westosha Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Westosha Central and bumps their season record up to 8-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Elkhorn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westosha Central will head out to challenge Waukesha West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Elkhorn, they will venture away from home to square off against Wilmot at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
