Kaplan waltzed into their contest on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They never let the West Ouachita Chiefs get on the board and left with a 5-0 win.

Kaplan pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for West Ouachita, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Kaplan will square off against New Iberia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Kaplan is facing New Iberia at the right time seeing as New Iberia is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for West Ouachita, they have already played their next match, a 10-1 victory against Live Oak on the 22nd.
