Basketball Recap: Toronto Comes Up Short

Toronto was the 65-55 winner over Bridgeport when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Toronto Red Knights fell 65-55 to the Bridgeport Bulldogs on Friday.

Bridgeport was led to victory by Jaleel Vincent and Coen Brinker. Vincent dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards, while Brinker went 8 for 10 on his way to 23 points. The matchup was Vincent's 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Jackson, who posted seven points.

Toronto's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Bridgeport, their record is now 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Toronto will take on Oak Glen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bridgeport, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Conotton Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bridgeport is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.
