Interboro dropped their record down to 9-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 11-0 to the Sun Valley Vanguards. The Buccaneers were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Vanguards' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Sun Valley, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Sun Valley's part, the team relied heavily on Jackson Messick, who fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-4. Those seven RBI gave Messick a new career-high. Ryan Messick also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Looking ahead, Interboro will face off against Chichester at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Buccaneers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sun Valley, they will take on Oxford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
