Softball Recap: Geneva Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holtville, Geneva was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Daleville Warhawks get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won eight in a row.

Geneva's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Daleville, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Geneva has already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against New Brockton on the 4th. As for Daleville, they will head out on the road to square off against Poplar Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Daleville has given up an average of 19.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
