            Baseball Recap: Yale Bulldogs vs. Woodland Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Yale extended their losing streak  to seven  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost  14-0 to the Woodland Cougars. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing  9-1 to the Cougars when the teams met back in March of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Woodland,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 9-17. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
For Woodland's part,  Collin Brazee was a  major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. What's more,  Brazee posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other pitching news,  Pate Nibeck looked comfortable as he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Khamdyn Patterson was a standout: he got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Goob Kennedy, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with four  stolen bases and three  runs.
 Coming up, Woodland will be playing in front of their home fans against Drummond  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Yale will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars'  game: after the Cougars face off against the Bulldogs, they'll take on Yale again  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
